The warm ambiance of this "National Historic Place" is found in the native
hand-hewn logs and two huge stone fireplaces. It's special to know you are a
part of the same clear, pristine setting that lured Buffalo Bill Cody's
sidekicks, Hoots and Hattie Jones, to build on this spectacular site, high
atop the Snowy Range Mountains at 10,200 feet elevation. Brooklyn Lodge is located just 700 feet off the Snowy Range Highway 130, designated in 1989 as one of the first National Forest Service "Scenic Byways." Here you will have easy access to the Lodge and our permanent residents and friends--chipmunks, deer, marmots, elk, fox, bobcat, black bear, coyote, mountain lion, jays, hummingbirds, bluebirds and a huge variety of finches--just to name a few. We have only two rooms, so advanced reservations are recommended. We look forward to making your special occasion an extra special one, at Brooklyn Lodge. |
